Organizers of the Austin City Limits Music Festival announced July 1 that the annual event at Zilker Park will not take place in October.

“We would have loved to put on another memorable show this year, however, with the uncertainty surrounding the current situation in Texas, this decision is the only responsible solution,” a social media post from the festival reads.

The music festival is scheduled to return Oct. 1-3 and Oct. 8-10, 2021. According to the statement from ACL, anyone who has already purchased tickets from the official website will be able to hold those for next year or receive a refund.

According to a report from Angelou Economics, the 2019 ACL Festival brought about 75,000 fans per day across its two weekends and had a $291 million impact on the local economy, creating 3,126 jobs.
