The background
The improvements are being funded with money from Cedar Park's 2022 bond package. City Council approved a contract in July to complete the improvements for about $1.7 million.
Of note
City officials had at one point considered replacing the athletic field surfaces with artificial turf, but decided against it. The fields will remain natural grass.
