The cities of Leander and Cedar Park will begin discussions on their FY 2020-21 budgets on Aug. 5 and Aug. 6, respectively.
Leander City Council will hold a special-called meeting Aug. 5 at 2 p.m. to discuss the city's proposed budget. Council will meet at 2 p.m. City Council will also meet Aug. 6 for its regular meeting, when it will consider a proposed tax rate. A proposed tax rate public hearing may be scheduled for Sept. 3, according to the Aug. 6 agenda.
Both Leander meetings will be held at Pat Bryson Municipal Hall. The public can attend with a maximum of 20 people or watch the online livestream.
Cedar Park City Council will meet at 5 p.m. Aug. 6 for a special-called budget work session via videoconference. City Council will consider an overview of the FY 2019-20 budget and consider the FY 2020-21 budget and proposed tax rate. City Council is scheduled to meet Aug. 13 for its next regular meeting.
