Concordia University Texas will waive SAT and ACT entrance exam requirements for incoming classes starting this fall and going through fall 2021, according to a Concordia press release.

The move is being made in response to SAT and ACT entrance exam dates being postponed and the suspension of study programs for high school juniors and seniors due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to the release.

Test of Essential Academic Skills requirements will also be waived for nursing students applying for admission in the summer and fall, the release said.

“In order to care for students and families for whom this decision is causing great stress, we have decided to waive the test requirement,” said Kristi Kirk, the university’s provost and executive vice president, in the release.

A private liberal arts university, Concordia University Texas offers undergraduate, graduate and adult degree programs at its campus in northwest Austin.
