Dominica McGinnis is in the lead in the Republican primary for Bastrop County commissioner Precinct 1 with 41.8% of counted votes.
Bastrop County has released early voting totals for the race.

According to unofficial early voting results, McGinnis, Butch Carmack and Charles Brading currently have 675 votes, 569 votes and 370 votes, respectively. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

In early voting, there were 8,604 ballots cast countywide, which represents 14.72% of Bastrop County's 58,441 voters.
Final totals from March 5 election day are yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
