Bastrop will host one of 15 statewide Governor's Small Business Summits, offering a chance for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to connect with resources.

The overview

Hosted in partnership with the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, Bastrop Economic Development Corporation and Texas Workforce Commission, the event seeks to empower others by providing access to essential resources and information to start, strengthen, and grow their businesses, according to a news release from Governor Greg Abbott.

What to expect

Attendees can attend sessions designed to:
  • Connect local, state, and federal resource partners to share insights
  • Provide advice on key business topics
  • Offer networking opportunities with fellow business owners
  • Introduce experts who will cover relevant and timely small business issues

“Small businesses are the driving force behind the Texas economy,” Abbott said in the release. “With more than 3.3 million small businesses across Texas, employing nearly half of all working Texans, our state continues to lead the nation in small-business growth and as the best state to start a business.”
