The team at Chuy’s has selected a home for the Tex-Mex restaurant’s first Bastrop location.

In a nutshell

The eatery will be nestled within the upcoming 75-acre mixed-use development called Sendero. Other dining options will include Jersey Mike’s, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Texas Roadhouse.

On the menu

Chuy’s offers "Texas-sized plates that won't break the bank," featuring traditional Tex-Mex options like fajitas, tacos, enchiladas and burritos.


Other choices include margaritas, eight signature sauces, and house specialties like the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo, which includes three enchiladas with different fillings and sauces, a crispy taco, chips and queso.

Founded in Austin in 1982, Chuy’s restaurants were acquired by Orlando-based Darden Restaurants in the summer of 2024.

Darden’s portfolio includes brands such as Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse—the latter of which is set to open inside Bastrop's upcoming Burleson Crossing East in 2026.
