Kerr Community Center

The historic center celebrated its 110th anniversary Dec. 15 with a party and awards ceremony. Built in 1914 by Beverly and Lula Kerr, the Kerr Community Center has served as a hub for the Black community, providing a space for social, civic, recreational and educational activities. Today, it hosts community events and can be rented for private and corporate gatherings. The center is undergoing renovations to enhance visitors’ experience and preserve the building.
