Event center slated for site of old pharmacy at Parmer and Whitestone
An unoccupied building at the corner of Parmer Lane and Whitestone Boulevard in Cedar Park is set to be converted into an event center.
The 12,000-square-foot venue, to be known as the RIA Event Center, will make use of a restored and renovated pharmacy building.

When Victor Friar and Keysha Nichols-Friar first opened their smoke shop Ash, Smoke & Glass near the Round Rock-Hutto border, they celebrated with smoked wings. At the time, customers told the couple they should consider opening a restaurant. About a year later, in September 2025, they did exactly that, opening Nana B's Country Kitchen in the retail space next door.
