2. Wonder
The app-based eatery allows diners to mix and match dishes from more than 20 restaurants in a single dine-in, pickup or delivery order. Menu items are made-to-order and include a range of cuisines. The kitchen also offers menu items in collaboration with chefs such as Bobby Flay and restaurants such as Tejas Barbecue, alongside Wonder concepts such as Pop Salad. Construction work on the space is estimated to be completed in July, per the filing, but an opening date for the location has not yet been announced.

3. Birkenstock
German footwear brand Birkenstock offers shoes for men, women and children. Styles offered include a variety of sandals, clogs, sneakers and boots. A project filing shows work planned to finish out a roughly 2,500-square-foot retail space near the northwest corner of the shopping center is occurring between July 15 and Aug. 15.

The business offers acupuncture services and has a Plano location at 5501 Independence Parkway, Ste. 312. Construction of the privately-funded $150,000 project in a 1,320 square-foot space is expected to wrap up in July.

The store, which sells clothing, accessories, toys, collectibles, home decorations, is set to occupy a 2,916-square-foot space in Allen Premium Outlets. Construction on a $180,000 renovation project for the store is expected to begin in September and wrap up in early December.

Representatives of the organization celebrated relocating its office at a July 15 ribbon cutting ceremony. The organization had occupied a less than 2,000-square-foot space on McDermott Drive for about 30 years, Allen Chamber of Commerce President Kyle Jacobson said. The new roughly 2,500 square-foot space office is located in The Asher, a three-floor multi-tenant office building, and provides a dedicated coworking space for chamber members.

Allen Civic Ballet is currently sharing a location with Allen Conservatory of Dance, which is the school for the nonprofit ballet organization, at 602 E. Main St., Ste. E. A planned relocation will bring both organizations under the same umbrella, President and Artistic Director Stefanie Best said.

The company offers consulting services for digital infrastructure and supports the deployment of wireless and broadband networks for clients across North America and Europe.

11. Caffe Promenade
The cafe has new owners, operating under KCV Investments LLC, who plan to continue operations with the Allen store’s current offerings but anticipate adding more offerings in the future such as ice cream, a representative said. The coffee shop offers a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, teas and fruit smoothies, as well as mochi donuts, pastries, sausage rolls and breakfast sandwiches.

The eatery reopened under the new ownership of Gilbert Romero, who also owns the original location of Mom's Cafe in Carrollton. The restaurant offers breakfast and lunch items including pancakes, French toast, eggs benedict, fried catfish, sandwiches, burgers, black-eyed peas, collard greens and more.
