The Tomball and Magnolia area saw homes stay on the market longer than usual in August as median home prices saw a slight decline.
The big picture
According to data from The Renee Leslie Group with Re/Max Elite Properties, the number of home sales declined in all five ZIP codes within Community Impact's coverage zone year-over-year.
The decline comes as the median cost of a single-family home decreased in four of the five ZIP codes in Tomball and Magnolia, data showed.
The average number of days a home spent on the market before being sold also saw increases in three of the five ZIP codes. The only areas where the number of days on the market averaged lower year-over-year were in the Stagecoach and Rose Hill areas.
