Residents in Spring and Tomball will not have to go far for many of their consumer needs, as a new Kroger Marketplace will open at 24350 Kuykendahl Road April 11, featuring more than 120,000 square feet of groceries, gas, pharmaceutical needs and even apparel.
"It's not just big for the sake of being big," Kroger Public Relations Manager Kristal Howard said. "It's big because we want to offer the most variety we can."
The Kroger Marketplace is the fifth in the Greater Houston area, but the first in the region that offers shoes and apparel, Howard said. The grocery retailer began opening Marketplaces in Texas in 2009 and has selected thriving suburban neighborhoods—like Spring—for its Kroger Marketplaces.
"They're all really growing neighborhoods experiencing tremendous growth," Howard said.
