HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball names new CFO

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball named Francis Tezanos as its new chief financial officer, effective Jan. 12, according to a March 23 news release.

The background

Tezanos brings more than 20 years of health care finance and technology experience to the role, per the release. He previously served in leadership roles at HCA Healthcare, including associate chief financial officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood.

Most recently, he served as interim chief financial officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center, where he oversaw financial operations for multiple departments, according to the release.

The release states Tezanos earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Florida International University, as well as a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting.

In his new role, Tezanos will oversee financial operations, including budgeting, strategic planning, revenue cycle management and financial performance, per the release.
