Education levels, median household income increases in Tomball, Magnolia

Over the last five years, the education levels and median household income within the school districts in Tomball and Magnolia has increased, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2022 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates released Dec. 7.

In a nutshell

Within the school district boundaries of Magnolia and Tomball ISDs, the percentage of people over age 25 with high school diplomas or bachelor’s degrees increased, according to the American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates.

In MISD, the percentage of people with high school diplomas or bachelor’s degrees is 90.8% and 33.8%, respectively. In TISD, those figures sit at 94.5% and 48.8%, respectively.

What else?

The median household income for both communities also saw increases between 2017-22, according to the American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates. In MISD, the median household income rose from $79,285 to $104,463, while in TISD the median household income rose from $94,976 to $117,433.
