2nd & Charles is set to open a new location in Humble in early December, company officials confirmed via email Oct. 27.
What to expect
The new shop will buy, sell and trade used books, video games and systems, vinyl records, CDs, movies, comics, toys and collectibles, alongside a selection of new merchandise.
"Customers can bring in items they would like to sell or trade and walk out with cash or store credit, so the store is always changing and there's something new every visit," said Scott Kappler, executive vice president of operations, via email. "That trade model keeps prices affordable, gives great items a second life and creates a store that feels different every time you walk in."
Some context
The bookstore will be located in an existing roughly 27,400-square-foot space in Deerbrook Marketplace, per a July 21 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
2nd & Charles has additional Texas locations in Beaumont, Lubbock and Conroe, with another store planned to open in Plano on Dec. 10, as previously reported by Community Impact.
