The newly formed Tomball ISD's State of the District address, sponsored by Tomball Education Foundation, took place April 5 with TISD Superintendent Martha Salazar-Zamora as the keynote speaker. Salazar-Zamora began superintendent duties April 1, 2017, upon the retirement of former Superintendent Huey Kinchen. "I think it could be more than fair to refer to this past year as eventful," Salazar-Zamora said. Here are six highlights of Salazar-Zamora's first year as superintendent, according to her inaugural State of the District address.
