Career missionaries husband and wife duo Rabih Sabra and Sandy Sabra opened Sabra Farm in June 2024 to offer the community a place to source fresh produce grown locally and clean food.
“We wanted to be able to offer a clean and transparent source of food,” Rabih Sabra said. “Farming is how I worship the Lord. It includes everything, taking care of the earth, of creation. It includes taking care of our neighbor and it includes taking care of our own body. That includes everything that the Bible wants us to do that can be beautifully expressed in farming.”
What’s special about it
Originally from Lebanon, as career missionaries often traveling overseas, Rabih Sabra and Sandy Sabra noticed a difference in how they felt after eating while overseas versus back home in Texas.
Realizing the need for clean food in the area, the Sabras bought an acre and half of land and opened Sabra Farm to serve their own community.
“We thought this was an important need that we needed to address, at least for our family,” Rabih Sabra said. “And as we did, we saw that we needed to know where the food came from and that we needed to grow as much of it as we could ourselves.”
Starting off with produce grown by Rabih Sabra himself, today Sabra Farm offers self-grown and locally grown produce, meat and carefully sourced pantry staples to nourish the community.

Staying local
When entering Sabra Farm, Rabih Sabra said customers can expect to be greeted by the Sabras themselves and provided with thorough information on each one of its products.
“Our experience is a very heavy interaction with us,” Rabih Sabra said.
With products sourced from local ranchers, at the market, customers can find greens grown in-house, such as hydroponic lettuce and herbs, microgreens, peppers and cucumbers, as well as high-quality meat that is antibiotic-free.

Other hand-made products customers can find at Sabra include hand soap, laundry detergent and dish soap. A few unique products include dried fruit, Mexican spices and Middle Eastern desserts such as baklava and Dubai chocolate.
