In January, Community Impact reported on several new restaurant and business openings as well as several that are coming soon. Here is a look at five of them.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Insomnia Cookies has plans to open a new location on College Park Drive in The Woodlands area. The project to finish 1,214 square feet of interior space for the location began Nov. 21 and was slated to complete Jan. 16, according to the filing. Insomnia Cookies offers in-store and delivery services.
Founded in 2006, Insomnia Cookies has over 300 locations and offers delivery nationwide, per the website.
Menu items offered include cookies, ice cream and cookie sandwiches. Flavors range from snickerdoodle and chocolate chunk to oatmeal raisin as well as vegan options.
Pluckers Wing Bar is now open in Shenandoah, officials with the company confirmed to Community Impact.
The sports bar specializes in a variety of seasoned wings and large desserts in a bar atmosphere. There are currently seven locations in the Houston area, as previously reported by Community Impact.
The Woodlands location features a 12-tap self-serve beer wall, a dedicated milkshake bar with kid and adult options, and expanded beverage offerings like handcrafted cocktails and curated wine selections.
The menu includes popular items like the Grim Burger, topped with macaroni and cheese, jalapenos, bacon, cheddar and a sunny-side-up egg.
The location also introduces Lankford’s Rescue Menu, with dog-friendly dishes that donate a portion of proceeds to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
Potbelly Sandwich Works is coming soon to The Woodlands, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The restaurant will be 2,184 square feet, according to the filing. It began construction Jan. 19 and will end April 13. The cost for the project is $425,000, according to TDLR.
Potbelly serves made-to-order sandwiches, salads, soups, smoothies, malts and shakes as well as various baked goods.
PBR Food Park and Sports Bar, a new sports bar and activities center, opened on Rayford Road in January.
According to its website, PBR “brings the best of a sports bar and an entertainment venue under one roof.” As a sports bar, it offers a variety of sports such as basketball, football, F1 racing and boxing.
