There is nothing more noticeable and gives more curb appeal than a careful, well-thought-out landscape of a home. For maximum curb appeal, keep the lawn mowed and trimmed on a regular schedule, maintain shrub and tree shapes with regular trimming; maintain beds with fresh mulch applications and seasonal color; and keep walkways clean and looking fresh. You should refrain from displaying lawn or garden decorations in the front, such as gazing balls and small statuettes. Clean, neat and simple, with complimentary color, is your best bet for curb appeal.
What can a homeowner do to help maintain the look of his or her lawn?
There are three basic elements to a good lawn: regular and proper cutting, adequate watering year-round and seasonal applications of fertilizer, post and pre-emergent herbicides, and insect and disease control.
