The Fort Bend Teen Service League, a mentoring program of the Fort Bend Junior Service League, is celebrating 20 years of service and leadership development, officials announced in a Sept. 15 news release.
In a nutshell
The organization is open to women in seventh to 12th grade who reside in Fort Bend County and share an interest in volunteering, serving others and developing their leadership skills, per the release.
Teen members are given opportunities to participate in hands-on service, philanthropy, educational programs and cultural experiences.
“As a long-standing member of the Fort Bend Junior Service League and current board
liaison to the Fort Bend Teen Service League, I am uplifted by the future generations of
leaders who are serving as we celebrate 20 years,” said Charlyn Harris, who also has two
daughters in the teen league. “I wholeheartedly believe in its mission and the impact it
has on young women and our community.”
