Work crews will repave Adams Street between Texas Parkway and Fifth Street in Missouri City beginning in the summer. The project is estimated to cost $2.9 million. RG Miller was selected to design the project. This section of roadway was identified as part of a citywide pavement evaluation, which indicated the need for total reconstruction of this section of roadway.

3. Covington Woods A-22 improvements

Construction crews will begin work in January to improve drainage in Covington Woods by replacing the existing water main due to its age and material type. The new trunk line is proposed to extend north along Bournewood Drive from Ditch A-22 to the intersection of Bramblebury Drive. Plans call for sections of pavement to be replaced on Bramblebury, Ravenscourt, Barrowgate and Brook Hollow drives. The $7.2 million project includes full width pavement removal and replacement on Bournewood Drive.

The project will be constructed in stages consisting of installing drainage and utilities on one half of the roadway at a time while detouring traffic to the remaining half of the roadway during the construction period.

Timeline: January 2017—April 2018

4. Trammel Fresno Road widening

Construction to widen Trammel Fresno Road in Missouri City from two to four lanes will start this spring. The project cost is estimated at $3.2 million. A median will be added to the road. The project has federal funding and the Texas Department of Transportation is overseeing the project.

5. Glenn Lakes Lane Bridge project Design work for a new bridge to replace the Glenn Lakes Lane Bridge over Oyster Creek will be done in 2017. The project is expected to cost $1.95 million.

6. Hurricane Lane extension

Hurricane Lane will be extended from Trammel Fresno Road to Lake Olympia Parkway in Missouri City. The project is expected to cost nearly $3.2 million.
