Fort Bend ISD will remain closed until Sept. 5 in the wake of record rainfall in the Houston area this weekend. More than 200 high water spots were reported on roadways throughout the Houston area on Sunday, including these locations in Fort Bend County. As of mid-day Sunday, the city of Sugar Land issued a statement saying drinking water is safe, and there are no current plans for boil notices. The city is still planning for street flooding and isolated tornadoes and monitoring river conditions, according to a statement.
