Early voting begins Oct. 19 and runs through Oct. 30, according to the Texas Secretary of State's website. Election day is Nov. 3 and polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Why are you running for this position?
I ran the District Clerk’s Office for eight years, and I know what it takes to keep court records accurate, jury service working, and the public able to get what they need without delay. I am running because this office is the backbone of the courthouse.
What do you feel are the major challenges facing the office currently?<br>
The biggest challenges are timely processing of filings, reliable public access to records, and making jury service as efficient and fair as possible. Volume in Harris County is enormous. If acceptance, citations, and case linkage fall behind, every courtroom feels it.
What changes would you make to improve efficiency and transparency within the District Clerk’s office?
I would set clear processing standards, publish turnaround times, and use technology to cut unnecessary steps. That includes faster e-filing review, better case linkage for related matters, automated notices where appropriate, and simpler public portals so people can find records without calling or standing in line.
How would you address concerns about delays, backlogs, or access to court records and services?
Delays are reduced by measuring every major process—acceptance, citations, returns, copies, and jury summons—and removing steps that do not add value. I would restore tight front-end review so filings are accepted or rejected promptly, keep records searchable online, and expand practical help for people without lawyers, including kiosks and bilingual.

I’m running to modernize the District Clerk’s Office and deliver efficient, accessible, customer-focused service.

Outdated technology, inefficient processes, staffing challenges, and delays that impact courts, attorneys, and the public.
What changes would you make to improve efficiency and transparency within the District Clerk’s office?
Modernize technology, streamline workflows, establish performance measures, and make services and information easier to access.

Use technology, accountability, and smarter staffing to reduce backlogs and provide faster access to court services.
