As Easter approaches, Christ Fellowship McKinney is preparing to welcome the community with a weekend filled with worship, reflection and family-friendly activities.

Christ Fellowship is located at 2801 Orchid Drive, McKinney, and offers services at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. in English and Spanish, as well as online services. Communications Director Chrissie Jones said the church aims to provide an uplifting experience for all who attend Easter weekend events.

“The theme of Easter this year is unshakable hope, because we want to celebrate and recognize the unshakable hope that Jesus' resurrection brings to us, even though we live in uncertain times,” Jones said.

The weekend kicks off with a Good Friday service on April 18 at 7 p.m. This gathering will include the stations of the cross and communion, offering attendees a solemn opportunity for reflection.

On April 19, Christ Fellowship McKinney is hosting its annual Easter Eggstravaganza, a free community event designed for families and children. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will feature an egg scramble with more than 10,000 eggs, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, games and food trucks. Complimentary hot dogs, drinks and snacks will also be available.

“We just want to bring the joy of Easter out into the community, in hopes that everyone can experience that with us,” Jones said.

Easter Sunday services will take place April 20 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Christ Fellowship offers services in both English and Spanish, allowing attendees to worship in their preferred language. Pastor Aaron Armstrong will deliver the Easter message in English, while Pastor Jaime Gonzalez will lead Christ Fellowship en Español.

“We always have concurrent services—one in English, one in Spanish—at the same time, same building, just separate rooms so that everyone can worship in their heart language,” Jones said.

For families attending with young children, the church offers a special Easter program for kids from infants through fifth grade. Middle and high school students are invited to join their families in the main worship services.

Christ Fellowship McKinney encourages visitors to attend Easter events, whether they regularly attend church or are stepping into a service for the first time. Guests can stop by the church’s Connect Center, located in the lobby, where they will be greeted by members of the congregation and offered a small welcome gift, including a complimentary beverage from the on-site café.

Beyond Easter weekend, Christ Fellowship McKinney offers various opportunities for connection and spiritual growth. The church hosts small groups, classes and community events to help members build relationships and grow in faith. Life groups, parenting and marriage classes and financial workshops are just a few of the options available.

Additionally, Christ Fellowship actively participates in local outreach efforts. The church organizes service opportunities throughout the year, including community-wide serve days and partnerships with local nonprofits.

With a focus on faith, family, and community, Christ Fellowship McKinney hopes to offer a place where individuals can experience connection and spiritual growth.
