Del Webb’s Veramendi brings luxury living for active adults to New Braunfels

Sponsored by: Pulte Group San Antonio

Del Webb is set to redefine luxury living with Veramendi in New Braunfels. Part of the Pulte Group, Del Webb offers decades of expertise in creating vibrant, community-focused neighborhoods for adults 55 and better.

“In 1960, the founder Delbert Webb had this thought of developing a community that catered to active adults,” Vice President of Operations Brad Lacy said. “He saw a lot of people that were 55 or better wanting to be around those of similar age and interest, so he developed a community in Sun City, Arizona. It was a huge success—so much so that Time magazine put him on their cover shortly after the community opening. Sixty-five years later, we're still thriving. We're still the No. 1 brand for active adults in the country, and we keep getting better.”

With amenities such as eight pickleball courts, an 11,000-square-foot clubhouse and a thoughtfully designed community layout, Veramendi creates an ideal setting for fostering connections and building lifelong friendships.

Their vibrant social calendar caters to a wide range of interests and passions. From line dancing, Pilates and pottery classes to mahjong, golf and “brew crew” clubs, residents can explore hobbies and connect with others. Special events, workshops and community gatherings add even more opportunities to engage, creating a welcoming environment where everyone can feel at home.

“It feels like a cruise ship mentality. If you want to be busy that day, there’s going to be more things than you know what to do with. If you want to have a laid-back day, that’s OK too,” Lacy said.

The upcoming community will offer 12 floor plans designed with the active adult lifestyle in mind. Homes range from 1,200 to 3,500 square feet, with single-story ranch style layouts and optional lofts for additional space. These homes provide flexibility and personalization options to suit diverse preferences.

“There are some folks that love an extra loft upstairs. They might still work or want the space for when their grandkids come over to visit,” Lacy said. “They might utilize the space for a poker room or exercise area. They can choose whatever they like. These floor plans allow a lot of personalization.”

Del Webb has made the homebuying process at Veramendi as smooth as possible. Interested buyers can participate in virtual information sessions to learn about the community and its offerings. From there, they’ll work with experienced sales consultants and Pulte Mortgage partners to explore financing options and personalize their future homes.

“Throughout every stage of the build process, we'll give buyers photos and updates. They'll have a very close relationship with our construction partners, and our sales consultant will continually guide them throughout the way,” sales manager Annette Ontiveros said.

By the time they move in, future residents will not only have a beautifully crafted home but also a seamless, stress-free experience to look back on.

For those considering a move to Veramendi, the team at Del Webb offers a piece of advice: Don’t delay.

“Why wait? In the past, we’ve had so many people that start shopping and say they aren’t ready to buy yet. When they move in and start having fun, they say, ‘We should have done this earlier!’ I have not met anyone who’s moved to a Del Webb community and regretted it,” Lacy said.

Del Webb Veramendi is more than a place to live; it’s a vibrant opportunity to thrive. With its unmatched amenities, thoughtfully designed homes and a commitment to fostering connections, this community promises to redefine what it means to enjoy life to the fullest.
