ROUNDUP: 3 Austin film festivals to check out this fall

Austin is known for being a hub of diversity and culture, and the next few weeks will show just that when three film festivals—the Austin Film Festival, the Austin Polish Film Festival and the Austin Jewish Film Festival—begin their annual showcases. Prices and dates vary between each festival. Check out what is in store for Austinites below.

Oct. 27-Nov. 3: 29th Annual Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference

The Austin Film Festival will provide eight days of original films from both accomplished and aspiring filmmakers. Those seeking to watch what this year's festival has in store can buy their badges or passes now, which range from $80 for a film pass to $375 for a weekend badge, with more options on the website. The main events during the festival will be at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown, 700 San Jacinto St., Austin, and The Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta, 701 Congress Ave., Austin. Oct. 28-30, Nov 4-6: 17th Annual Austin Polish Film Festival

The Austin Polish Film Festival offers Polish filmmakers a platform to feature their films ranging from award-winning features to documentaries and animations. Tickets range from $13 for an individual movie ticket to $120 for a full-access pass. All non-English language films will have English subtitles, according to the APFF website. Nov. 3-13: 20th Annual Austin Jewish Film Festival

The Austin Jewish Film Festival will showcase Jewish filmmakers from around the globe. Passes run $120 for an all-access film pass to $225 for a combo pass. The festival will happen at the Dell Jewish Community Campus, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin, followed by an online option Nov. 14-20.
