Beginning July 13, Lookout Road between Doerr Lane and Tri-County Parkway will be closed.
According to the city of Schertz, the closure is so the contractor can install a new sanitary sewer manhole and connect the new sewer line to the existing sanitary sewer line in the Tri-County Parkway and Lookout Road intersection.
During the closure, southbound traffic on Doerr will be detoured to Schertz Parkway for access to I-35, and Bell North Drive can be used to access FM 3009. The closed road section is expected to reopen to one-way traffic July 20.
This project is tied to the Tri-County Parkway Reconstruction Project that began in April and is set to be complete in the fall. The entire project costs $5.29 million and is funded through Schertz Economic Development Corp. reserves.
