New services for solid waste and recycling began this week for the city of Cibolo.

Waste Connections of Texas started curbside waste and recycling pickup on July 28. Pickup will be once per week in different areas Monday-Friday, with brush and bulk pickup up to 3 cubic yards per household happening once every two weeks.

Latest update

The city posted several reminders about the new service on social media July 28, telling residents to place carts at the curb on their designated pickup day by 7 a.m.

Designated pickup locations can be seen on an interactive map on the city’s website. All household waste must be bagged and placed inside the cart, city staff said.

City staff said if a resident has more waste than what fits inside the cart, extra bags should be left out on a designated bulk item pickup day, also shown via the city’s interactive map.

Household Hazard Waste services through the WM At Your Door program can be requested online. City staff said all materials must be placed at the door or on a porch to prevent the waste “from being mistaken for regular trash and sent to the landfill.”
