City of Schertz officials are seeking feedback for the comprehensive plan, which would create a plan for the city through 2044.

A survey is available for Schertz residents to answer questions about the city’s identity and focus going forward. Surveys will close Nov. 27.

The context

The purpose of the plan is to set a vision for the growth of the city over the next 20 to 30 years with focuses on:

• Land use
• Transportation
• Parks
• Economic development
• Housing
• Implementation

The planning process began in March, with the plan being developed over four phases including initiation, drafting, developing and finalizing, according to the plan website.

Currently, the plan is in the development phase, which focuses on developing specific strategies and recommendations for the chapters within the plan.
