The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa recently opened Hill Country Christmas, offering guests and the public interactive experiences designed to put everyone in the holiday season spirit.

A news release states that the Hill Country Christmas display activities began Nov. 11 and will continue Dec. 31 on the resort’s pavilion lawn, which is turned into a snowy playground with various ticketed activities for all ages. Some activities include:

  • Snow Flow Mountain, a multilane tubing hill made of real snow
  • An interactive snowball make-and-toss game where visitors can score points that help boost the power of the snow-making machine
  • Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Traditions, hosted by Mrs. Claus herself, featuring a retelling of the classic, “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” followed by a sing-along of traditional holiday carols. Mrs. Claus will also offer cookies and milk to attendees.
  • A gingerbread decorating corner
  • A market square with a holiday pop-up shop displaying festive apparel, jewelry, home decor, toys, ornaments and collectibles
  • A Secret Santa Scavenger Hunt where visitors can decipher clues to solve a mystery and earn Santa’s Secret Service Badge
Digging deeper

Visitors will encounter other holiday programming, such as a Build-a-Bear workshop, live reindeer, horse-drawn sleigh rides, a hot cocoa bar, and an opportunity to write letters to Santa and take a photo with Santa.

Additionally, the resort’s Rivertop restaurant will be transformed into The Arctic Lodge, a pop-up lounge with holiday cocktails and treats, while the Frost Haus and Cocoa Cabin will offer a full menu of elevated Nordic-inspired bites and beverages, the release states.
JW Marriott San Antonio will also have specialized holiday-themed packages for resort guests staying on-site anytime during the holiday season.

Hill Country Christmas tickets range $12.99-$39.99 for different activities, with bundle tickets available offering discounts on pricing, the release states.
