The cities take turns hosting the event, with the city of Selma hosting this year’s celebration.
Celebration activities will be held at the Heroes Memorial in front of City Hall, which was completed earlier in the year as a way for the city to honor local heroes.
The event will honor those who served with a ceremony featuring guest speakers and local performers.
