National Night Out is a community-building campaign promoting community and police partnerships.
To celebrate the event, neighborhoods host block parties or other community events, which the members of the police department are invited to attend.
For neighborhoods that register before Sept. 23, a team consisting of a Schertz City Council member, a police representative and a member of Schertz staff will visit the event held by that community.
