Bexar County has released voting totals for four Judson ISD trustee positions.
Current situation
Two candidates are running in each Judson ISD school board election in Districts 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Trustees are elected for four-year terms, and the seats up for election are single-member districts, meaning only those districts' residents can vote for the respective board seat.
The Judson ISD District 2 position is currently held by Stephanie Jones, who was appointed by the board in August 2023 after Shatonya King stepped down in July of that year, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
Running against Jones is Monique Robinson, who was spent 15 years in the classroom and 5 years in administration, according to a Community Impact questionnaire.
Unofficial voting results show Jones with 599 votes, or 64.34%, and Robinson with 332 votes, or 35.66%, respectively.
Running for District 3 are Lesley Lee and Christopher Anderson, who look to take the seat currently held by Debra Eaton, who was elected to the board in May 2017, according to the district’s website.
Unofficial voting results have Lee with 346 votes, or 62.79% and Anderson with 205 votes, or 37.21%, respectively.
The District 4 election is between incumbent José A. Macias, Jr. and Bianca Hulsey. Macias, Jr. has served four terms as a Judson ISD trustee, while Hulsey is the founder of the Judson ISD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee among other roles.
The unofficial voting has Macias with 251 votes, or 52.73%, and Husley with 225 votes, or 47.27%, respectively.
The District 5 election is between incumbent Arnoldo Salinas and challenger Amanda Poteet.
Salinas served on the Judson Board of Trustees for eight years before being appointed to single member District 5 in July of 2024, according to the district website. Poteet stated that she is a former HR professional with expertise in people management and conflict resolution.
Unofficial early voting totals see Poteet with 384 votes, or 71.24%, and Salinas with 155 votes, or 28.76%, respectively.

In unofficial voting, there were 116,483 ballots cast in Bexar County, which represents 9.26% of Bexar County’s 1,258,413 voters.

The District 5 election is between incumbent Arnoldo Salinas and challenger Amanda Poteet.
Salinas served on the Judson Board of Trustees for eight years before being appointed to single member District 5 in July of 2024, according to the district website. Poteet stated that she is a former HR professional with expertise in people management and conflict resolution.
Unofficial early voting totals see Poteet with 253 votes, or 71.67%, and Salinas with 100 votes, or 28.33%, respectively.

In early voting, there were 74,092 ballots cast in Bexar County, which represents 5.8% of Bexar County’s 1,258,413 voters.
Totals from ballots cast May 3 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
