Why are you running for City Council?

I am proud of a proven track record of progress made during my term. I am committed to providing quality city services with the least financial burden as possible for the taxpayer.

What are some of the biggest challenges Schertz is facing?

The base issue is growth while facing state mandates without financial support, including potential bills from the 89th legislator that could jeopardize cities’ autonomy.

How do you plan on addressing those challenges?

By focusing on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Unified Development Codes and associated city infrastructure, my vision entails establishing a citizen coalition. This coalition will play a pivotal role in advocating for the autonomy of cities, ensuring the ability to thrive and evolve through the evolving legislative landscapes.

What would be your top priorities if elected?

My top priorities when re-elected are to enhance economic development, improve quality of life for residents, and invest in infrastructure. Collaborate with [a] citizen coalition to effectively address bills from the 89th Texas legislature.

Robert Marks Jr.
