According to unofficial results with all precincts reporting in Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties, Shari McDaniel, Robert “Bob” Roberson and Nicholas “Nick” A. Sherman won the three open seats on the Green Valley Special Utility District board of directors.

Newcomer McDaniel was the top vote-getter with 1,478 votes, or 33.14%, and incumbents Roberson and Sherman received 1,005 and 1,203 votes, or 22.53% and 26.97%, respectively.

A fourth candidate, Joey Neve, received 774 votes, or 17.35%.

There are seven directors who each serve three-year terms on the board. Roberson and Sherman had been elected in 2020.

With all of Guadalupe and most of Bexar counties' precincts counted, unofficial early vote totals show newcomer Shari McDaniel getting the most votes with 1,478 in the race to fill three seats on the Green Valley Special Utility District board of directors.

According to unofficial early voting results from Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties, Robert “Bob” Roberson and Nicholas “Nick” A. Sherman lead with 941 and 1,112 votes, respectively. Joey Neve has 732 votes.

Comal County's early voting totals show incumbent Nicholas “Nick” A. Sherman and newcomer Shari McDaniel remained the top two vote-getters in a race to fill three seats on the Green Valley Special Utility District board of directors. Comal County election officials reported there were 11,914 ballots cast in countywide, which represents 8.84% of the county’s 134,707 voters.

According to unofficial early voting results from Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties, Robert “Bob” Roberson, Sherman and McDaniel lead with 465 votes, 565 votes and 682 votes, respectively. Joey Neve has 375 votes.

Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties have released early voting totals for elections related to the Green Valley Special Utility District.


What you need to know

Voters will be deciding which of four candidates will fill three seats with the Green Valley Special Utility District board of directors. Candidates include Robert “Bob” Roberson and Nicholas “Nick” A. Sherman, who both serve on the board, and Joey Neve and Shari McDaniel. The special utility district serves about 17,000 customers in rural areas of the three counties.

According to unofficial early voting results from Bexar and Guadalupe counties, Roberson, Sherman and McDaniel lead with 454 votes, 559 votes and 670 votes, respectively. Neve has 370 votes. Early vote totals have not yet been reported for Comal County.

What else?


In early voting, there were 7,417 ballots cast in Guadalupe County, which represents 6.07% of the county’s 122,259 voters. Also, there were 67,680 ballots cast in Bexar County, which represents 5.49% of the county’s 1,233,648 voters.

Totals from ballots cast Nov. 7 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
