The polls have closed and the city of Schertz’s $15.4 million bond proposition has garnered 72.8% of the votes in favor of its passage, according to county data.

Early voting numbers have been tabulated for Bexar and Comal counties’ voters; however, Bexar County numbers are not yet available.

If approved, the bond money would be used to build a new fire station in the city’s northern industrial area. No property tax rate adjustment was proposed along with the bond.

The Schertz City Council also has two seats to fill for Place 6 and Place 7.

After early voting numbers were counted in Comal and Guadalupe counties, Allison Heyward was in the lead in the Place 6 race with 73.3% of the votes to Jeanine Graham’s 26.7%.


In the Place 7 race, Tim Brown has the lead with 62.4%, his opponent, Judith Williams, has earned 36.6%.
