Equipment was removed to make room for updated playground materials, with the playground expected to be complete around November.
Areas around the playground will remain open during the construction period, but guests are encouraged to be safe when around the work area.
The Hilltop Playground will be the second playground to be updated at the park. The Acorn Playground, located at the front of the park, was updated in December after a yearlong process from the design approval to the opening of the playground.
