According to early voting totals released by Bexar County Nov. 2, about 87% of early voters have cast ballots in favor of the Universal City proposition, which would allow the city to implement a property tax freeze for homeowners age 65 and older, and those with disabilities.

This tax freeze would also apply to the spouses of the homeowners and be in effect as long as the homeowner lives on the property, according to the ballot language.

Just over 1,400 residents cast ballots in favor, while about 220, or roughly 13% voted against the measure.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.
