Live Oak will soon be home to an indoor pickleball hall, following the groundbreaking of Texas Pickle Hall on May 30.

About the project

The 30,000-square-foot Texas Pickle Hall will feature 12 indoor courts and one outdoor stadium court. The project is being developed by Urban Earth, which is a San Antonio development and engineering firm focused on the construction of sustainable buildings, according to the business website.

Urban Earth founder David Komet said the Texas Pickle Hall project will be a sustainable building that adds to the community.

“We are building something that should be part of the community and bring a lot of strengths with an eye towards environmental stewardship,” Komet said.

The facility is owned by Pickle Realty Partners and will be operated by Jesse Diaz, who is the co-owner of Handz Pickleball Co in San Antonio.

Komet said the project should be completed around six months after the start of construction.
