Nightly lane closures will continue through next week along with closures of several entrance and exit ramps of I-35, Loop 410 and Loop 1604 as part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion Project, involving the construction of several miles of elevated lanes.

Long story short

According to a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation, northbound lanes and alternating ramp closures will occur nightly until Aug. 24 from 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., depending on the road.

The multiple closures stretch from Loop 410 and Nacogdoches Road to I-35 and up I-35 to FM 3009. On Loop 1604, closures will begin at Nacogdoches Road and run to I-35.

The southern portion of the project will also have nightly closures along I-35 from Loop 410 to Binz-Engelmann Road.
