Current situation
Texas Department of Transportation officials said the following routes will be fully closed from 9 p.m. April 19-5 a.m. April 22:
- All four cloverleaf ramps at the Loop 1604/I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 westbound and eastbound main lanes and frontage roads at the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 westbound and eastbound collector-distributor roads
- I-10 westbound frontage road at the Loop 1604 interchange

TxDOT officials said the following detours will be in effect during this weekend's closures:
- Motorists on westbound I-10 wanting to access westbound Loop 1604 will exit at La Cantera Parkway to the I-10 westbound frontage road then use the U-turn at La Cantera Parkway. Drivers will follow the I-10 eastbound frontage road back to the Loop 1604 westbound frontage road and enter the westbound Loop 1604 main lanes after Valero Way.
- Travelers on eastbound I-10 wanting to reach eastbound Loop 1604 will exit to the I-10 frontage road after La Cantera Parkway and follow that frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange. Drivers will use the U-turn at UTSA Boulevard then follow the I-10 westbound frontage road to the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road. Traffic can enter the eastbound Loop 1604 main lanes at the entrance ramp right before Vance Jackson Road.
- Westbound motorists on Loop 1604 will exit to the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road after Vance Jackson Road. Travelers wanting to continue through the I-10 interchange will follow the exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and use the U-turn at La Cantera Parkway. Travelers will follow the eastbound I-10 frontage road to the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road, and enter the westbound Loop 1604 main lanes after Valero Way. Travelers seeking to reach eastbound I-10 will follow the exit to the westbound I-10 frontage road and use the U-turn at La Cantera Parkway, follow the eastbound I-10 frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange and enter the I-10 eastbound main lanes at the entrance ramp before UTSA Boulevard.
- Drivers on the eastbound Loop 1604 main lanes will exit to the eastbound Loop 1604 frontage road after La Cantera Parkway, and can continue through the I-10 interchange to the eastbound I-10 frontage road and use the U-turn at UTSA Boulevard. Motorists will follow the westbound I-10 frontage road to the Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road and enter the Loop 1604 eastbound main lanes before Vance Jackson Road. Travelers looking to access westbound I-10 will follow the exit to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and use the U-turn at UTSA Boulevard. Travelers will follow the westbound I-10 frontage road to the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road and use the turnaround at Vance Jackson Road to enter the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road. Traffic can enter the westbound I-10 main lanes at the entrance ramp before La Cantera Parkway.
A separate series of nightly closures on Loop 1604 are taking place between Shavano Park and the Rogers Ranch, Deerfield and Inswood neighborhoods through April 20. Additionally, nightly closures are slated to happen through April 19 between the Blanco Road exit ramp and Gold Canyon Road as part of newly launched work on Segment 4 of the Loop 1604 project.
