San Antonio court seeks resolution to domestic violence warrants

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and in honor of all victims and survivors of domestic violence, several downtown buildings, including San Antonio City Hall, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the Tower of the Americas, will be lit in purple during October. The city is bolstering enforcement of outstanding domestic violence warrants. The San Antonio municipal court mailed 4,000 postcards to individuals with warrants for offenses involving family violence.
According to the city, the domestic violence resolution campaign is being held Oct. 4-15 as part of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Appearances must be in person on the dates listed on the card from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. Failure to appear on the designated date will subject postcard recipients to be arrested at home, work or wherever they are found.
