On Nov. 29, Lucy’s Doggy Daycare and Spa delivered blankets to San Antonio Animal Care Services to help keep shelter animals warm during cold days this fall and winter.

According to a news release, throughout November, Lucy’s asked San Antonio community members to help “Fill the Van” with clean blankets, towels, pet food bags, treats and newspapers at any Lucy’s location around town.

This pet supply collection was done as part of the company’s “Lucy’s Lends a Paw” initiative in November, the release said.

Additionally, Lucy’s picked up a dog named Nova from the animal care services department and delivered the canine to staff at the Lucy’s location at 937 S. Laredo St., where she will get to play in the dog day care space until she is adopted.

Nova is being made available for adoption through the San Antonio-area nonprofit God’s Dogs Rescue, the release said.
