According to a news release, the initiative aims to replenish depleted local blood supplies. Donations will assist patients in need due to canceled blood drives and the increased demand following the floods.
“Flood victims in Kerr County are facing unimaginable loss,” Spears said. “In moments like these, every act of care matters. Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to give hope and healing to someone in crisis.”
Residents are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance. Walk-ups will be accommodated as space allows. Complimentary cookies will be available from 9 a.m.-noon, with paletas being served from noon-2 p.m. The refreshments are provided by Frost Bank.
