This event is part of the Headwaters at the Comal monthly Science, Engineering, Art and Math Series. The program is for students in kindergarten to third grade to learn about the trials and tribulations of sending a manned mission to the moon. Selma Fire Department Citizens Fire Academy
Participants will learn essential fire safety skills from professional firefighters. The academy will provide weekly hands-on training, including live fire extinguisher training, driving a fire truck and CPR certification. The CPR certification will be held Sept. 27.

Evening Bat Flights
Watch some of the last bat flights of the season at the Bracken Cave Preserve. Participants will be able to see the largest colony of bats in the world at full flight just before the sun goes down at the cave. Preregistration is required.
