From monster trucks to getting information from local charter schools, San Antonians have a variety of activities to consider attending during the third weekend in January.

The Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series returns to the Alamo City, where the best drivers of monster trucks will be performing.
Before the performances, fans are also welcome to the Monster Jam Pit Party, where they can see the trucks up close, meet their favorite drivers and crews, take pictures and enjoy other family-friendly fun. Facial coverings are required for entry. Pit passes are available for $20 for this VIP experience. Briscoe Western Art Museum invites the public to learn about the American West in the Briscoe’s new education series, Full STEAM Ahead, where visitors of all ages work together and engage in hands-on, science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities, which tie back to the Briscoe’s art and artifacts. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Full STEAM Ahead admission is included with general admission and free for museum members. 210 W. Risas Dental and Braces will offer free dental exams and X-rays to children during a Kids Day event hosted by the Northwest Side dental clinic. There will also be a drawing for a Nintendo Switch and two free orthodontic treatments at Risas Dental and Braces’ Culebra Meadows and Woodlawn Lake locations. San Antonio Charter Moms is hosting its next free School Discovery Day at O.P. Schnabel Park with representatives from 12 local charter and choice schools. Participating schools include Anne Frank Inspire Academy, Great Hearts Texas, IDEA Public Schools and St. Mary Magdalen School. This is the second event in a series of six events designed to help families through the process of finding the right school for their child during charter/choice school enrollment season. Visitors will also get to sample specialty hot dogs and hot chocolate from Doolittle’s Mobile Kitchen.
