Bexar County has released early voting totals, where voters cast ballots on whether or not to pass North East ISD’s $495 million bond.

According to district documents, the proposed bond package was created after a review of NEISD facilities, enrollment trends and instructional needs.
With 148,450 votes counted so far, Bexar County voters cast their ballots in support of propositions A, B and C, which would go toward funding general projects, technology improvements and athletics, respectively. Early results show voters cast ballots against propositions D and E, which would fund stadium and natatorium improvements.
Proposition A: 25,980, or 59.99% of ballots cast, voted in support.
Proposition B: 24,368, or 56.51%, voted for the proposition.
Proposition C: 21,589, or 50.13%, are for, while 21,480, or 49.87%, are against.
Proposition D: 20,184, or 47%, voted in support, with 22,765, or 53%, voting against the proposition.
Proposition E: 21,454, or 49.97%, voted for the proposition, while 21,477, or 50.03%, voted against.
Totals from ballots cast on Nov. 4 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
If approved by voters, bond funds will be used for:
- Renovating and repairing existing school buildings
- Enhancing campus safety and security systems
- Improving fine arts, athletics and extracurricular spaces
- Upgrading instructional technology and classroom equipment
