Postino WineCafé will open a second location in North San Antonio later this spring.

The background

Representatives for Postino said their second storefront, a 5,529-square-foot structure, will be located near Brackenridge Park.

Postino’s menu offers bruschetta, panini, salads, charcuterie boards and shareables, alongside a range of wines and Texas craft beers, for lunch and dinner.

Postino has happy hour specials, including all wines by the glass and pitchers of beer for $6 from open to 5 p.m., and a $25 bottle of wine and a board of bruschetta for $25 on Monday and Tuesday evenings. There will also be patio seating.

Representatives for Arizona-based Postino said the restaurant’s name is inspired by the Italian word for postman, an homage to the former 1940s post office where the first Postino was opened more than 20 years ago.

Postino opened its first San Antonio eatery in 2023 at The Rim retail center. Company officials said, like The Rim location, the design of a new eatery near Brackenridge Park and Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston will reflect its surrounding neighborhood.

Postino co-founder and CEO Lauren Bailey said the San Antonio community welcomed her venture with open arms with the opening of The Rim location, adding she is excited for the second local eatery.

“Honestly, it comes down to a feeling in my gut, and I’ve never felt better than I do about opening a Postino on the thriving Broadway Street corridor. There is so much to love about San Antonio, including this gateway between Brackenridge Park, Pearl and historic downtown.”
