The public is invited to a series of meetings that the city of San Antonio is holding regarding long-term planning for the Stone Oak and San Antonio International Airport areas.
The San Antonio Planning Department invites residents to share their vision for their community for the city’s SA Tomorrow long-range comprehensive plan.
In each meeting, held at a different location in what the city calls a subarea, city staff will collect feedback from residents and other stakeholders pertaining to their respective neighborhood.
City staff is developing regional center plans for five defined areas of town, including Stone Oak and the community surrounding the airport. Those regional plans will be rolled into the SA Tomorrow plan.
An open house about the Stone Oak Area Regional Center Plan will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Methodist Hospital Stone Oak conference center, 1139 E Sonterra Blvd., San Antonio.
City staff held the first open house about the Stone Oak area plan on May 17.
An open house for the Greater Airport Area Regional Center Plan will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Walker Ranch Senior Center, 835 W. Rhapsody Drive, San Antonio.
The city is holding separate meetings for the Rolling Oaks area Oct. 18, the Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston area Nov. 10 and the far east San Antonio area on Nov. 17.
