Representatives with Jabz Boxing, a boxing-inspired fitness concept, signed a lease for a location at the Fiesta Trails retail center, 12611 W. I-10, San Antonio.

Jabz Boxing is scheduled to open in July in a building that previously housed HotWorx and Premier Martial Arts.

According to a news release, local franchisees Chandra and Cid Abrahams expressed eagerness to manage a studio that offers a full-body circuit-style workout featuring elements of boxing, kicking, lifting and rowing.

The new studio will have a custom-designed ring and more than 250 pieces of equipment. The studio will also have Jabz K.O., a punch-tracking technology that enables clients to actively track their results, beat their best performance and push themselves to new limits, the release said.

Jabz Boxing's nationally certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors, with additional training in boxing technique and motivational skills, guide clients through a high-intensity workout that combines kickboxing, cardio, agility, strength training and functional movement, the release said.

"We're thrilled to bring the Jabz Boxing workout experience to a new community in San Antonio," Chandra Abrahams said in a statement. "Our signature boxing-inspired circuit is unlike anything else out there and offers a challenge for every fitness level."

Company officials said since Jabz began franchising in 2013, its network has grown to more than 15 franchise locations, with studios currently in development in Texas and Florida.

Locally, another Jabz Boxing studio is in the works in the Leon Springs area.
